Oh! Hey there. Is it really 2026? What’s going on with you? Yes. I keep doing this to myself. I have come to the realization that I am not really good at hobbying or crafting, but I am well on my way to becoming a Grand Master “collector/hoarder”.
I have what used to be a neat little built-in bookshelf that the previous owner of this house added to one of the bedrooms of which I now call my “office/hobby room”. I use it to display my genre collectibles and trinkets. It was supposed to hold my minis and terrain I was crafting for Mordheim, but it sorta has taken a life of it’s own. At its foot, a growing number of unassembled model brands like Bandai Gunpla, Airfix, Meng, Games Workshop, Tamiya, Blokees and others that have been gathered, not be opened nor constructed. No. The boxes have joined an assortment of other model, toys, many starts and broken dreams.
Often, I look at the shelf (my “Pile of Shame”) and I think to myself I will start building those models or minis or Legos, but I don’t. To be honest, I almost find solace in just looking at the collection of boxes. The potential. What could be. Even my most recent obsessions (like Mordheim) have found a pile of its own. I swear, I should complete that project. It is so close. My tools and scrap raw building materials have found their own spot, supporting my unfinished projects above. I am thinking even this website/domain that I pay for is becoming my online shrine to my procrastination.

Where would you start? Would you even?
Happy crafting?
